It is a discipline that tests the speed, skill and physical and psychological endurance of horse and rider, since both have to travel great distances in one day, through the most diverse terrains and against time. For this reason the rider must have the ability to dose the effort of his horse and carry an appropriate pace during the test. At the end of the race, the physical condition of the horse is evaluated through veterinary checks. If the horse's pulsations are above the allowed and previously established, the rider is eliminated. The winning binomial of the test will be the one that reaches the end of the route in the shortest possible time and complying with the veterinary conditions set at the start of the test.
