From April 25 to 28, the XVII edition of the Carmona International Raids were held in Andalusia, highlighting the Spanish Championship of Junior Raid and Young Riders 2024.
In a course of 120 kilometers distributed in four phases, twenty-four pairs and four regional teams faced each other for the titles of Champions of Spain.
At the end of the final phase, five pairs led the race from the first minute, including Mar Pérez with Tra-Quebec-50, Célia Soler with F-Hazfat-Al-Shaqab, Sergio Sánchez with Zamian, Joana Ullastre with JM-Frankel and Bruna Carau with Cahabb. The pace accelerated to more than 25 km/h in this decisive phase, and upon reaching the final kilometers, six of the first eight binomials crossed the finish line in the following order: Clara Latorre with Balma-Peu, Bruna Carau with Cahabb, Joana Ullastre with JM-Frankel, followed by Célia Soler with F-Hazfat-Al-Shaqab and Mar Pérez with Quebec, 20 seconds away.
In the final veterinary check Cahabb and JM-Frankel did not pass, with which Célia Soler with F-Hazfat-Al-Shaqab and Mar Perez with Quebec climbed to second and third place respectively.
In the team competition, the Canary Islands achieved a feat by qualifying both participating binomials, thus securing the Gold medal for teams. The Silver and Bronze Medals were deserted, as the rest of the teams failed to finish the race
