5 medals for Catalonia in the Spanish Championship of Minors Dressage Classic

Ixone Lacunza and Lucia Castillo, champions of Spain in Junior Dressage, in Juvenils 0* and Alevins, respectively, and Mireia Luz Konovalova and Onia Maldonada, silver in Young Riders and Children.

The Spanish Championship of Classic Dressage for Minors played in “Las Cadenas” in Madrid, has been loaded with emotions and with a sporty fight for the first three positions of the different categories, which have determined the champions of this edition.

After the sum of scores and maintaining the first position from the first day to Youth 0*, ANDxone Lacunza Vázquezalong with Pippin's Playboy, she won the gold medal with a cumulative total of 210,136, which represents her second triumph of the year, having also been proclaimed champion of Spain in Ponies 2024. The silver one was Jessica Gonzalo Aguilera with “Juanito X” and a 204,222, while the bronze was for Daniela Cruz Abreu riding “Valentina” with a 203,073.

For its part, in category d'Alevins the victory of this edition and title of Champion of Spain was for Lucia Castillo Vicensriding in “Ratón Sol” with a 218,137, ahead of Paloma Jiménez Díaz who was proclaimed runner-up riding “Gitana” with a 214,396 and Sara García Haro who together with “Destino” took the bronze medal with a total of 211,864.

The Kür decided together with the previous tests the winner in the category of Joves Genets, which has been the binomial formed by Javier Guillén Callejas riding in “Resolved AS” that adding a 212,765 revalidated his title and was hanging for the second consecutive year the gold in this category. The silver medal and title of subchampion was for our Amazon, Mireya Luz Konovalovawith “Royal Thunder” and a 210,134, while the bronze was awarded to him by Pablo García Cobos with “Let It Go T” and a total of 209,992.

In category d'Infantil, with a score of 232,187 Triana Vargas Angulo won the Gold, riding in “Don Corleone”, thus continuing her good results. The second place went to the Catalan Onia Maldonado Baliardawith “Dinky Toy Van Het Blemenhof” which with a total of 225,544, while Aitana Morales Hermosilla with “Jerte de Valduma” was in third place, with a total accumulation of 225,269.

As for the team event, the sum of the scores gave the victory and gold medal in this edition, to the Catalan Horse Riding Federation with The Etapa team, with Laura Rocabert Bartes as Team Leader and formed by Berta Serra Mazuelos, Ixone Lacunza Vázquez, Lucía Castillo Vicens and María Bech Salvatella.
