The Delegated Commission of the RFHE approved the modification of art. 128 of the RG, incorporating into the requirements necessary to obtain the license the specification of the Genealogical Book in which they are registered.
This modification has a transition period that will end on December 31, 2023. From January 1, 2024, it will be mandatory to be registered in a Genealogical Book to obtain the National Horse License.
Due to this new requirement, the RFHE and the Spanish Federation of Horse Breeders' Associations (FEACC) have agreed on a series of guidelines and a cost adjustment to facilitate incorporation into the genealogical books.
Those specimens of registered breeds with known origins and that could meet the requirements to be registered, will request registration in their corresponding Genealogical Book (CDE, PRE, TROTADOR, MENORQUÍ, PSI, PRá, A-á, H-á...).
Specimens that do not belong to a given breed and have totally or partially unknown origins, can go to any of the following breeders' associations, which have mechanisms to incorporate these specimens into different sections of their genealogical book:
Once the registration has been made, they must contact the regional federation in which the horse is licensed to incorporate this data.
For any questions you can contact the RFHE bflores@rfhe.com, as well as to each of the Breeders' Associations.
