Catalans, shortlisted to participate in the World Raid
2/2/2023

The RFHE Raid Technical Directorate has confirmed the list of binomials selected for the World Cup to be held on February 25, in Butheeb (UAE).

With a large turnout, the Championship will see 24 teams compete for the team title, which the Spaniards have firmly held in their power since the World Championship in Caen (France) in 2014. For Spain, a fourth consecutive title would set a new record in this discipline, but they will face a lot of opposition from other teams competing for first place, such as Brazil and France, silver and bronze medalists at the World Championships in Pisa (Italy) in 2021, as well as other former medalists including the Netherlands, Switzerland, Bahrain, Qatar and the nation host, the United Arab Emirates, the only other country to have three consecutive world titles, which they achieved between 2008 and 2012.

The team pre-selected by the RFHE is made up entirely of riders from our federation:

• ÁLVAREZ PONTON, Maria
• BERENGUER CARRERA, Gil
• WHITE RODRIGO, Omar
• PUNTI DACHS, Jaume
• I AM COLL, Angel
• LUQUE MORAL, Alex
• PRADERA LEDO, Maite

The selected horses are: JM Elegido, Siriwan of Hal Tseu, Diogene of Jansavis, Soraya Peu, Echo Falls, AdiBou, Warrens Hill Chayze Fahad and Jm Espejo

The preliminary inspection will be on February 24, after which the final team that will represent Spain will be formed.
