Six Catalans selected to be part of the teams of the European Dressage Championships
13/6/2023

The RFHE published yesterday the list with the teams selected to participate in the European Dressage Championships, which will be held at the following venues:

  • Pilisjászfalu - Budapest (HUN), 11-16 July U25 European Championship
  • Kronberg (GER), 18-23 July; Junior and Children's European Championship
  • Le Mans (FRA), 24-30 July; European Ponies Championship

In the Junior category, Mireia Luz Konovalova with Royal Thunder will attend a European Championship for the first time. This pair was already called by the RFHE last year to attend the CDI of Le Mans, and although it was not their best contest, the regularity they have shown this year, has led them to obtain a place in the team.

In Children, Jeanette Vallvé will return for the third consecutive year to attend with Zanon. In 2022 he managed to enter the final and finish in 12th position, a result that, according to the averages obtained during this season, they could surpass.

A Young Riders Giovanni Torrens will attend with Euro Boy for the second year in a row, after demonstrating very good regularity last year in both events.

In Ponis the current Champion of Spain, Ixone Lacunza, will attend her first European Championship, together with Vera Meca, for whom this edition will be her third Championship.

For Julia Álvarez and Dark Rose, this will be their second European Championship together, being the first at Fontainebleau in 2018, in which they competed in the Junior category and obtained a 6th team position.

We can certainly consider it a success to have at least one binomial present in all the teams of the different categories.

We wish you a lot of luck!
