Our Ponies binomials do not disappoint at the Spanish Championship
30/6/2023

From 23 to 28 July a new edition of the Spanish Ponies Championship was held at Cecyl (Segovia). Our binomials managed to shine in the discipline of Dressage, confirming one more year their great level.

Also highlight the great role played by the disciplines of CCE and Salt, showing a great projection for the coming years.

At Dressage, the team standings had us all on hold until the last minute, two of our teams, the FCH Snow White and FCH Frozen, fought to the end to get the gold. Finally a fantastic test by Vera Meca in Ponis D decided the classification, awarding the gold to the FCH Snow White team, formed by:

  • Ariane Alonso with Happy Feet The Bell
  • Júlia Bergadà with Cehia Amadeus
  • Anna Porta with Bonnie
  • Vera Mecca with Sophienhofs Maroon

The silver was therefore for another of our teams, the FCH Frozen, which had the following components:

  • Elsa Manzano with Airesdeandalucía Brandy
  • Verónica Frutos with Claudia
  • Berta Serra with John Lennon
  • Ixone Lacunza with Pippin's Playboy

Our Dressage binomials were not satisfied with the medals obtained by teams and managed to be present in the individual podiums of all categories:

Pony A

In the category of Ponies A, Cristina Autet and Magistral de Janas occupied the third position, thus achieving the bronze medal.

Pony B

The Gold medal went to Júlia Bergadà Closa with Cehia Amadeus, who was ahead of Berta Serra with John Lennon and Elsa Manzano with Airesdeandalucía Brandi, who achieved the silver and bronze medals respectively.

Pony C

Among the thirteen binomials who participated in Ponies C, Anna Porta riding Bonnie got gold medal,. The third position, and therefore, bronze medal went to Julia Álvarez Colom, who rode Top Svoorter Subliem.

Pony D

The duo formed by Ixone Lacunza Vázquez and Pippin's Playboy revalidated their title proclaiming themselves champions in Ponies D, followed by Vera Meca and Sophienhofs Maroon, who won the silver medal.

To the discipline ofCCE, Mariona Jover, who was part of a mixed team, made up of pairs from Andalusia, Catalonia and Galicia, managed to win the silver medal for teams of ponies B.

Ninon Gombert's performance with Llamp was also very outstanding, who managed to finish Cross's tour without penalty.

To the discipline of Salt, Carla Batalla and Pipo managed to finish third in the A Cup after debating in an exciting tiebreaker with the finalists. Mar Torrelles finished fourth with Cayetana Yar.

A fantastic result that is the result of the effort of clubs, coaches, officials and families of our athletes, congratulations to all!
