The purpose of the agreement is to provide means for the separation at source of waste in order to promote selective collection and its subsequent recycling. This initiative becomes fundamental for the preservation of the environment, a commitment that the FCH maintains as a priority within its Corporate Social Responsibility policy and that has been the raison d'être of Ecoembes since its creation in 1996.

The project, which has been in development since the end of 2022, envisages the installation of selective collection points with packaging bins and paper and cardboard at the facilities of the federations and their clubs in Catalonia. Likewise, awareness-raising and training campaigns aimed at the different federations in the field of sustainable sport will be carried out to promote selective collection and recycling.
